What Do You Really Mean When You Say, "I AM FINE"

Do you know that “I am fine” is the most told lie in the English language? It is usually used when someone is, in fact, not fine but they say “I am fine” because they don’t want to burden others and it’s easier to explain than what’s wrong, would you agree?

F.I.N.E is said to stand for “Feeling Insecure, Neurotic and Emotional”, and can also be “Feeling I’m Nothing to Everyone” or “Feeling Inadequate, Needing Encouragement”. Whatever your definition of FINE may be most of us would just lie and say “I am FINE”, because it’s an easy way out.

Then why do we say “I am fine” when clearly, we’re not:

  • Not sure of what you really feel
  • Pretending to be okay
  • To avoid conflicts
  • Scared to tell what you're really feeling

Only those who identify with these feelings can truly understand the agony behind the words “I am fine.”

The next time someone asks how you are, think about the response you’re already anticipating. What if we didn’t settle for “fine”? What if we stop, take a moment, and answer with true sincerity how I’m doing? Or better yet, tell them how you’re feeling. We could all benefit from slowing down and honestly evaluating how we are doing.

The Journey Of My Mental Fitness & Resilience

Are you ready to discover how resilient you truly are? My journey into mental fitness began in the most unexpected way—signing up for a marathon without even knowing how long it was! Eight years ago, I joined a friend, not fully understanding the challenge, but determined to follow through. And just like that, I was hooked.

It wasn’t just about running; it was about the powerful lesson I learned along the way: the people you surround yourself with can make or break your journey. If you don't have someone supporting you right now, let me be that person. I want to inspire you to push through your limits and reach your goals.

This episode isn't about the number on the scale or how others perceive your health—it’s about how you feel. I’ve learned that true health isn’t determined by weight alone, and I want to help you shift your focus to what really matters: your energy, mobility, and inner strength.

In this episode, I will share:

  • The power of visualisation in achieving your fitness goals

  • How to cultivate mental resilience through running

  • Tips for building a supportive social circle to stay motivated

Join me as I dive into the mental and physical challenges of this fitness journey, sharing practical tips like the power of visualisation and the importance of committing to a goal. Whether it’s a 10K, half marathon, or full marathon, signing up for that race will change how you see yourself and unlock the inner strength you didn’t know you had.

Are you ready to take the next step? Let’s break through your limiting beliefs together and prove that you’re stronger, more resilient, and more capable than you ever imagined.
