What Do You Really Mean When You Say, "I AM FINE"

Do you know that “I am fine” is the most told lie in the English language? It is usually used when someone is, in fact, not fine but they say “I am fine” because they don’t want to burden others and it’s easier to explain than what’s wrong, would you agree?

F.I.N.E is said to stand for “Feeling Insecure, Neurotic and Emotional”, and can also be “Feeling I’m Nothing to Everyone” or “Feeling Inadequate, Needing Encouragement”. Whatever your definition of FINE may be most of us would just lie and say “I am FINE”, because it’s an easy way out.

Then why do we say “I am fine” when clearly, we’re not:

  • Not sure of what you really feel
  • Pretending to be okay
  • To avoid conflicts
  • Scared to tell what you're really feeling

Only those who identify with these feelings can truly understand the agony behind the words “I am fine.”

The next time someone asks how you are, think about the response you’re already anticipating. What if we didn’t settle for “fine”? What if we stop, take a moment, and answer with true sincerity how I’m doing? Or better yet, tell them how you’re feeling. We could all benefit from slowing down and honestly evaluating how we are doing.

Voicing the Unspoken: A Journey to Healing from Trauma with Tania Ciobanu

Have you ever felt like you’re carrying around a part of yourself that the world has never truly seen?

Healing from trauma can be a long, winding road, and it often begins with acknowledging the parts of ourselves we’ve hidden away. For many, it’s about reconnecting with the parts of us that were once neglected or forgotten—those pieces of our soul that hold the pain, the memories, and the truth we’ve been too afraid to face.

In this episode, Voicing the Unspoken: A Journey to Healing from Trauma, Tania Ciobanu takes us on a courageous journey of confronting the past and reclaiming her voice. She shares how reconnecting with her inner child allowed her to heal from deep childhood trauma, forgive those who had once hurt her, and ultimately find peace within herself.

Tania also reflects on how her healing process led her to extend compassion to others, even those who were once part of her pain.

Tune in to hear more about:

  • The importance of acknowledging and healing the inner child within
  • How forgiveness can unlock personal freedom and healing
  • Practical steps to safely share your story with those you trust

Through her story, Tania reminds us that no matter how deep the scars, healing is possible when we allow ourselves to feel, forgive, and release the pain we carry.

Join us for this heartfelt conversation and discover the healing power of speaking your truth.
